Business Description
Waters Building & Design is a Savannah-based construction firm Josh Waters founded in 2017, serving Southeast Georgia. The company builds luxury custom homes, restores historic properties, handles comprehensive remodels, and takes on light commercial work such as office and retail build-outs. It’s a family business anchored by faith, with over 50 years of combined construction experience.
Clear, consistent communication is the cornerstone of how the company operates. WB+D began as a design-build firm and deliberately narrowed, partnering with architects and interior designers who practice full time so it can concentrate on construction quality and project management. The work starts with understanding what a client is actually trying to accomplish, then plans it thoroughly before anyone breaks ground: prior planning prevents poor performance is the house rule. Project costs, schedules, and updates run through BuilderTrend, so clients know where things stand without having to ask.
Josh serves on the board of directors of the Home Builders Association of Greater Savannah, where he was 2024 president. The company’s preservation work has twice been recognized by the Georgia Trust, and it was named Best of Georgia in 2025. Fellow alumni are welcome to reach out: a custom home, a historic restoration, a commercial build-out, or a second opinion.
