Born and raised in Gwinnett, Georgia, Destiny graduated magna cum laude from Georgia Southern University in the fall of 2022. Shortly after graduation, she began her career with the U.S. House of Representatives, where she first served as an intern in the office of Congressman Henry “Hank” Johnson Jr. (GA-04). During her time in Congress, Destiny served in multiple legislative capacities, overseeing the implementation of domestic policy across jurisdictions and advocating for communities on a wide range of legislative issues. She worked for Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) and Congressman Wesley Bell (MO-01), where she collaborated with stakeholders at the federal, state, and local levels to advance policy solutions.
Destiny now serves as the Membership Services and Planned Giving Manager at EMILY’s List, where she supports the organization’s mission to elect women at all levels through donor engagement and strategic fundraising initiatives.
Beyond her work on Capitol Hill, Destiny remains deeply engaged in her community. She has served on the Alumni Council Board for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and the board of the Congressional Black Associates, where she has helped foster professional development and leadership opportunities. She continues to use her platform to mentor, uplift, and empower emerging professionals and the next generation of leaders.
