Kevin A. Scott, (’00, ’02)

Kevin Scott is a proud alumni of Georgia Southern University from which he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Management (’00) and a Master of Science degree with a major in Sport Management (’02).
During his academic journey, Kevin served as a Graduate Assistant for the Intramural Sports Program, where he not only furthered his studies but also gained practical experience in sports administration and management. This role allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of the operational aspects of sports programs, preparing him for a successful career in the field.
Kevin’s passion for sports extends beyond the administrative realm into officiating basketball for the National Basketball Association (NBA). As he completes his 13th season with the NBA, Kevin has officiated over 700 regular-season games and 35 playoff games, including one NBA Finals game.
Kevin considers his most memorable NBA assignment to be a quadruple-overtime game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Utah Jazz on March 25, 2012.
His officiating experience includes four seasons in the NBA G League, where he refereed the playoffs from 2009-11 and was selected to work the Finals in 2011.
Scott has extensive experience officiating at the collegiate level, with four years in the SEC, six years in the Southern Conference, seven years in the Big South Conference and 10 years in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Kevin enjoys a variety of leisure activities, including golf, fitness training, fishing, and attending NASCAR events.
