Being Selected as a Conducting Fellow for the Reynolds Conducting Institute

One of my proudest professional accomplishments was being selected as a conducting fellow for the Reynolds Conducting Institute as part of the International Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic (Chicago, IL). This competitive fellowship provided the opportunity to conduct a professional ensemble while receiving mentorship from internationally recognized conductors and educators, and to present that work in front of one of the largest gatherings of band and orchestra professionals in the world.

Winning a Director of Bands position at the collegiate level

I am also proud to have won a Director of Bands position at the collegiate level, where I now lead university wind ensembles and mentor undergraduate and graduate music students as they prepare for careers as music educators and performers. As part of this work, I oversee major band recruitment initiatives that attract prospective students to the university and contribute to enrollment across a wide range of academic programs.

Received My first invitations to conduct All-State Bands in Georgia and South Dakota

Finally, in 2025, I received my first invitations to conduct All-State Bands in Georgia and South Dakota. Being invited to work with the top high school musicians in each state is both an honor and a meaningful recognition of my contributions to music education and the band profession.
