Winining My First Emmy Award as a Producer and Editor
Winning my first Emmy Award as a Producer and Editor shortly after graduating from Southern was a defining moment that validated my transition from student to professional storyteller. While working on “Pitt: Beyond the Script”, I produced interviews and captured some of the biggest accomplishments and heart-touching stories in Pitt Athletics. This Emmy award represents more than just a trophy; it symbolizes the countless hours spent in the edit bay at Sanford Hall along with my classmates, and the realization that my creative voice had the power to resonate at the highest level of the industry. It set a standard of excellence that I have carried with me into every project since.
Directing the 2025-26 Nike Peachtree Game Open for the Atlanta Hawks
Directing the 2025-26 Nike Peachtree Game Open for the Atlanta Hawks was a full-circle moment in my career. While it was my third time at the helm of a major game open, it felt like the culmination of nine years of industry grit and the foundational storytelling lessons I first learned at Georgia Southern University. Collaborating with star talent, athletes and legendary commercial directors like Jordan McMonagle requires a unique blend of technical expertise, creative confidence and knowledge. It is especially true every time I have to pitch new brand strategic ideas, command my presence on set and garner talent buy-in. Standing in the middle of State Farm Arena, directing a full crew and legendary Atlanta rapper Jeezy, I felt the weight of my journey—from walking across the graduation stage with a diploma to commanding the visual narrative for a global brand. It was a testament to being prepared for the moment before the moment arrived.
Recognition by Cam Kirk Studios on their inaugural Creators and Makers list
Being recognized by Cam Kirk Studios on their inaugural Creators and Makers list is an accomplishment that hits close to home. Atlanta is arguably the most popular creator hub in the country, teeming with hundreds of brilliant entrepreneurs and corporate professionals. To be singled out within this creative community was deeply humbling. This recognition proved that the “sweat equity” I’ve invested in the City of Atlanta and building authentic connections has made a tangible impact. It reaffirmed my belief that success in this industry isn’t just about the content you create, but the community you build and the culture you help define.
