Q: What is your career and how did Georgia Southern help you to prepare you for it?

A: I am an attorney. I believe that my undergraduate degree in business is a pivotal reason I was able to successfully start and grow my law firm over the past ten years.

Q: What was your favorite part about being a Georgia Southern student and how has that impacted your engagement with the University through the Alumni Association?

A: My favorite part of being a Georgia Southern student was the interactions with my friends and professors. Those positive experiences and encounters have led me to be engaged with the GSU Alumni Association.

Q: What made you want to join Georgia Southern’s Alumni Board?

A: I have talked with a lot of fellow alumni who feel disengaged and disconnected for various reasons. I do not have the magic answer to address these issues and reestablish this relationship, but I hope that I can help convey the concerns so that perhaps we can find ways to engage and connect alumni again.

Q: How do you hope to grow the University during your term as a board member?

A: I hope to find ways to reengage the Statesboro alumni and find ways for the University to interact with the Statesboro Alumni and community at large in meaningful ways.

Q: How can alumni get involved with the Alumni Association and why would you encourage them to do so?

A: Alumni should ensure that they keep their contact information updated with Georgia Southern. I would encourage everyone to remain engaged as a stronger alumni base will hopefully lead to a stronger, more talented student base which will increase the name recognition of Georgia Southern and increase the value of the education offered here.
